This policy applies to the website morphgate.app and the iOS app Morphgate. The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is Manfred Breber (address and contact details see Imprint), apple_apps@breber.de.
Morphgate is deliberately built to minimise data. We use no advertising cookies, no advertising pixels and no cross-site tracking; there is no disclosure of your data for advertising purposes. The app contains no ads and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Reach measurement (Plausible). For anonymous website statistics we use the
cookieless, privacy-friendly Plausible Analytics on our own infrastructure
(stats.breber.de, servers in Germany/EU). No cookies are set and no
personal data or full IP addresses are stored. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest
in anonymous reach statistics).
The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). When you access the site, the server records technically necessary log data, in particular the page/file requested, the time of access, and information about your browser and operating system. This data serves exclusively the secure and stable operation of the site. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).
Game progress, coins, achievements and settings are stored exclusively locally on your device. There is no transmission to our servers. We do not operate a server for the app and receive no gameplay data. The app requires no account and no login. Sound effects and vibration are generated purely locally on your device.
The app optionally offers Apple's Game Center for the global leaderboard and achievements. If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, the app submits your achieved distance (leaderboard) and unlocked achievements to Apple; Apple links these to your Game Center player ID. We ourselves receive no personal data in the process. Apple's processing is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. Without a Game Center sign-in, the app uses a local leaderboard on your device. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (provision of the feature you chose).
Optional purchases (e.g. cosmetic packs) are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We receive no payment or account data. Apple only provides us with anonymised sales statistics. Apple's privacy policy applies.
At morphgate.app/musik you can buy the monthly music pack as an MP3 download. Listening and previews are possible without providing any data; personal data is only involved when you make a purchase.
Payment processing. Payment is handled by the payment service provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Dublin, Ireland; for certain processing Stripe, Inc., USA). You enter your payment details directly with Stripe (e.g. name, email address, billing details and payment data such as your card number). We do not receive or store any full payment data, in particular no card numbers. Stripe's Privacy Policy applies. Where data is transferred to the USA, Stripe relies on appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the purchase contract).
Order data held by us. After a successful payment, Stripe notifies us of the completion. For this we store, on our server in Germany/EU, an order reference (Stripe session ID), your email address, the purchased pack (month) and the payment status, in order to provide your download and prevent abuse. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Purchase data relevant under tax and commercial law is retained for the statutory retention periods (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, §§ 147 AO, 257 HGB, generally up to 10 years).
Delivery. We provide the download via a personal, time-limited link (valid for 7 days). The music files are stored on our server in Germany/EU; there is no disclosure to further third parties.
The website uses your device's system fonts only. No fonts are loaded from Google or other third parties; no transmission to third parties takes place.
If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding).
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority:
To exercise your rights, a message to apple_apps@breber.de is sufficient.
